Richemont flags jump in first half profit
Luxury goods maker Richemont said strong sales growth would boost its half-year profit by up to 40 percent, much more than analysts had expected, helped by demand from emerging markets and sales to Asian shoppers visiting Europe.
PPR, Yoox in e-commerce joint-venture
French luxury and retail group PPR and Italian online fashion retailer Yoox said on Friday they had created an e-commerce joint-venture to sell several of PPR's luxury brands.
Euro zone retail sales growth slows in June
Retail sales in the euro zone came in above expectations but growth slowed sharply from the previous month, as consumers in the currency bloc struggled with the effects of the economic downturn.

Arrow entrusts its shirts in Europe (excluding France) to Seidensticker
After a first attempt in 2011, PVH wants to boost Arrow in Europe but with a partner this time. Seidensticker has acquired the European license for its shirts, with France being the notable exception. In France, Ecce holds the licensing agreement which runs out in 2020.



Adidas fans fears of slowdown after Olympics boost
World No.2 sporting goods maker Adidas reported a slowdown in sales growth in China and Europe, fuelling fears that demand could fade after a summer of sporting events it expects will boost 2012 earnings towards the top of its target range.



John Lewis sales growth held back by sun and Games
John Lewis, Britain's biggest department store group, said sales growth eased last week, with demand sapped by a spell of hot weather and the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
